The EDGE Youth group is for all 7th - 12th grade students. It doesn’t matter what church you go to on Sunday or if you don’t go to church at all, you will find a home on Wednesday nights at the UMC! We do lots of learning, playing, eating, celebrating, socializing, etc……. One of the highlights of the year is our summer mission trip. This summer we will be heading to Murphy, North Carolina. Murphy is situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Appalachian Mountain Range. We will be doing construction projects, a painting project, & some ministry type projects and then to cap off the week we will go white-water rafting and zip-lining! We will mix in a lot of fun…and ice cream stops throughout the week as well!

Mission Trips 2023

Our EDGE students traveled to Murphy, NC in June of 2023. We did a few construction projects, painted a house, and did some ministry work at Renewed Hope. We spent our fun day zip lining and white-water rafting on the Ocoee River. Check out the 2023 Mission Trip Video below.

We offer a college-age trip every other year to Alaska. In June of 2023 we didn’t have any college-age kids able to go so we took a small group of adults to Eaglecrest Alaska Missions instead. You can check out the video from our last college trip below.

EDGE Night

Join us every Wednesday at 7:00 - 8:30pm in the EDGE room where our teens wrestle together with God’s word and grow in their friendships. Any and all 7th graders thru Senior in HS are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Mission Trip

Every Summer our EDGE teens and a number of courageous adult leaders head out to make God’s love real in communities all across our nation.

The EDGE youth and adults will be heading to Murphy, North Carolina in June, 2023. We will also get a chance to do some white water rafting and zip lining while we are there!

Fellowship

We believe discipleship is something we do together as a family. So, all throughout the year our EDGE teens grow together with all kinds of special events from game nights and movies to special outings. Plus we do some fun fundraisers as well, such as: Fish Fry, Dessert Auction; Skillet Cookies, etc…
