The EDGE Youth group is for all 7th - 12th grade students. It doesn’t matter what church you go to on Sunday or if you don’t go to church at all, you will find a home on Wednesday nights at the UMC! We do lots of learning, playing, eating, celebrating, socializing, etc……. One of the highlights of the year is our summer mission trip. Next summer we will be heading to Detroit, MI. Detroit has suffered a lot of population loss and struggles over the years but is trying to make a “comeback”. The EDGE will do what we can do to help with that comeback effort! We will mix in a lot of fun…and ice cream stops throughout the week as well!

Mission Trips 2024

Our EDGE students traveled to Memphis, TN in June of 2024. We did a few construction projects for the Alcy Ball Development Corporation, cleared some brush, and did some ministry work at Street Reach Bible CLub. Fun day: Go-Karts, Paintball, Putt-Putt, Sun Studio’s….

EDGE Night

Join us every Wednesday at 7:00 - 8:30pm in the EDGE room where our teens wrestle together with God’s word and grow in their friendships. Any and all 7th graders thru Senior in HS are encouraged and welcome to attend.

Mission Trip

Every Summer our EDGE teens and a number of courageous adult leaders head out to make God’s love real in communities all across our nation.

The EDGE youth and adults will be heading to Murphy, North Carolina in June, 2023. Murphy is located in the Appalachian Mountains and we will be doing construction and ministry projects around the community. We will also get a chance to do some white water rafting and zip lining while we are there!

Fellowship

We believe discipleship is something we do together as a family. So, all throughout the year our EDGE teens grow together with all kinds of special events from game nights and movies to special outings. Plus we do some fun fundraisers as well, such as: Fish Fry, Dessert Auction; Skillet Cookies, etc…
